Organisational development
In the history of your organisation there has never been a more important time to consider how you can develop your business to ensure that it survives and prospers now and into the future. Despite, if not because of the present difficult economic environment, you need to be thinking about how you can develop your business to meet the challenges ahead. Outside assistance in helping you through the formulation and implementation of a strategy can be very useful. Areas where we may be able to help include:
- Changes to the size and structure of your workforce
- Updating old skills and developing new ones
- Adapting to social changes (e.g. more flexible work patterns, remote working)
- Reconsidering the boundaries of your business (what is your core business? What could be done better by external suppliers?)
- Adapting to the future (e.g. rapid technological advances and the increased importance of climate change and ‘green’ issues)
- Changes to the Employment Law framework (be prepared, don’t get caught out)
- Assessing the risks involved in successful change initiatives
Helpful tip: Change initiatives often fail, and amongst the most common reasons for failure are inadequate planning and communications. So ensure that you have a detailed but flexible plan, and communicate clearly and often with stakeholders. Develop a shared vision of the benefits you are aiming to achieve.
